A beautiful wedding from last autumn that I wanted to share, I simply wasn't able to keep up with the blog as much as I would have liked as it was such an exceptionally busy year. There were some stunning schemes and I will do my best to post a few of my favourites. Autumn and winter brides, this one is for you. As, I am sorry to say, I have not posted since last November, I have some explaining to do!  I took a break to get married myself so this is a post with a difference, these are all the little details from my own wedding. I am often asked what a wedding supplier would choose for themselves so here is where you can find out. First, I should say this was an unconventional wedding- we ran away taking just very close family and a photographer friend with us to Devon - where we got together many years ago. Lovely Helleborus from the garden.  I have playing about with my new acquisition, a little milk crate with six tiny bottles. It really makes arranging flowers so simple, just a single stem in each bottle and hey presto! Simply Gypsophila. Narcissi from the garden with a wooden mushroom. I took a little break from blogging to try and focus on what I wanted to do, what direction to go in. I don't know if it's just me, but finding focus is a difficult task. There is so much stimulation all around and it is so easy to become distracted, and go off at a tangent. I recently came across a fabric and quilt designer whose work I love. You can find her website  here . She said that she no longer has New Year's resolutions, but chooses a word to focus on throughout the year. I thought this was a great idea, especially for anyone who is creative. I thought I would do the same and had chosen the word RESTORE, but have decided to change it to FOCUS, as I feel this is what is important for me. A lovely sunny scheme for an early October wedding , Melissa loves the bright colours and a slightly rustic style but the overall look needed to be elegant as well. Perfect for the lovely marquee in the maze of vines at the Cottonworth Vineyard.   Melissa's bouquet in whites and soft yellows using white roses, calla lilies and bouvardia with yellow craspedia and soft lemon lisianthus for a touch of colour.
