Hannah's Rustic Christmas Wedding Flowers, White Lion, Soberton

A beautiful rustic winter wedding that took place in the week after Christmas. Think small village church and village pub reception with roaring log fires and lots of candlelight. Just gorgeous Hannah's beautiful bouquet of white roses in a mass of gypsophila. Very soft and very pretty. I love gypsophila for a winter wedding -it's has the look of snow ! Rustic winter buttonhole of gypsophila with twig and a twine finish to the stem.  Bridesmaids' bouquets of massed gypsophila with the stems finished with twine for the rustic look. Church pews with jars of gypsophila and candles. It was not possible to hang anything from these pews so the jars line the aisle and look just as pretty. Table Centre of massed gypsophila in a jar decorated with jute and lace, the log, candles and pine cones finish the look. That just leaves me to say thank you so much Hannah for asking me to design and create your wedding flowers for you, it was an absolute pleasure putting this very pretty rusti

I'm not dead!

No I am very much alive and glad to be back here in my little corner of blogland. I can't really say where I've been or why I didn't choose to post, I suppose I just needed a break. Sometime's you simply cannot 'do it all.' I hope I am not too late to wish you all a very Happy New Year, filled with good things. At the end of last year I was very busy with all my 'crafty makings and doings', here are a few pictures to show you what I got up to. Flower arranging, and drinking a little gin (well I needed the bottle). Furniture painting, and more furniture painting. Christmas decoration making, bag and brooch making, doll making, hat and scarf making, fabric designing, one-off orders and designs. Can you see my problem......too much variety. I like variety, it is the spice of life, but really come on. No wonder when it gets to Christmas I am worn out. This year I mean to simplify.....everything, my work, my home, myself.
