June Showcase, New Place, Shirrell Heath

Hình ảnh
The June showcase at New Place was a perfect opportunity to show off some seasonal favourites. Peonies and sweet peas have a short season but are absolutely perfect for a June wedding. I love them ! We chose a bright and summery scheme of corals, reds and lime for a wedding breakfast in the Arden Suite and ever popular vintage pinks in the Bristol room. The dining room looked gorgeous decked out with lanterns and candles.  Coral peonies, coral roses, red sweet peas and green hydrangea with ivy trails make a fabulous tall table centre for a June wedding. Bright and summery and the colours blended beautifully with the deep red chairs at New Place.  Something different for the top table, martini and shot glasses filled with bright flowers on a line of mirror plates help create the summer party theme. Coral sunset peonies and Miss Piggy roses fill small martini and shot glasses for the top table. Co-ordinating  low table centre of coral sunset peonies, Coral roses, red sweet peas, green hy

Ruth's Wedding Flowers, Lains Barn, Wantage

A lovely, natural scheme this featuring the always popular rose and thistle combination but given a country style look that was just perfect for the barn setting of Ruth's wedding. The groom was keen on gyp but the bride not on the smell - it's not actually that nice !  I've used lots of scented foliages and lavender with the roses and thistles to ensure these designs smelt as lovely as they looked.  Lains barn with country style ceremony flowers using roses and thistles with gypsophila, lavender, mixed eucalyptus, rosemary and ivy trails. Tall designs in cocktail vases for either side of the ceremony table and a long and low in the middle. English rose and Scottish thistle wedding flowers country style look gorgeous in the barn setting of Ruth's wedding. I've used mixed ivory roses, spray roses, thistles, lavender and gypsophila with mixed scented foliages to get the look. Wreaths of scottish thistles, gypsophila, lavender and mixed foliages around a church candle

Paula's Contemporary White Wedding Flowers

Hình ảnh
For her wedding Paula had set her heart on hydrangeas, a lovely, soft, romantic mass of them given a contemporary touch by the addition of looped grass. Paula's bouquet of white hydrangeas, calla lilies and roses with looped grass and sprays of diamante for a touch of sparkle. Gorgeously soft and romantic but quite contemporary too.  Bridesmaids' bouquets of white hydrangeas with looped grass. Simple and elegant they looked just stunning against their midnight dresses. For the mum's, corsages of white rose, lisianthus and pearl sprays. Very pretty and very elegant. That just leaves me to say thank you Paula for asking me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. Many congratulations on your marriage.

An Angel is coming to tea.

If I was entertaining Angels, this is the linen I would use. I received these delectables in the post yesterday from Lynn at Sea Angels blog. She is an incredibly talented lady and seems able to work in lots of different mediums. The teacup banner is on linen, part printed and part appliqued, it has machine and hand sewing on it as well, and is so gorgeous when viewed up close. She sent it so beautifully wrapped and I meant to let you see it, but I had no battery in the camera, and I am afraid that I just could not wait to see what was inside.  I wish you could see the detail on this little tag, it looks as if it is iced and has glitter and vintage lace, just delightful. I think this cupcake banner is adorable too. I can feel a kitchen makeover coming on, in honour of my new lovely linens! This little parcel completely made my day,and to top it off, it was a beautiful day and I have lilacs on my table, smelling heavenly. The Angels have indeed visited me. Thank you Lynn, you amaze me!
